The many fine contributions in Japanese with E…nglish summaries, or in English, contain numerous new data including quite a few on fossils and with descriptions and illustrations of new and poorly known species. We find, for instance, Sitihei Nomura's "Summary of the fossil and Recent Japanese Pyramidellidae, with the description of several new species" which is of great importance to the study of this parasitic snail family throughout the Indo-Pacific. Front wrapper with repaired tear and right bottom corner a little warped affecting first few pages. Vague stamp on front wrappers, lacking the rear wrapper of the second volume (replaced by another board), spines consolidated, otherwise a very good set.
