Some light stains on the titlepage and some of the other pages but overall a good copy. Scherpbier, Milton in Holland. A study in the literary relations of England and Holland before 1730 (Amsterdam 1933); Smit (Kalliope) I, p.108, II, p.261-279; Moderne encyclopedie der wereldliteratuur (Hilversum 1967) V, p.484 - 490.[NL] De eerste Nederlandse vertaling van Miltons beroemde epos 'Paradise Lost', dat gaat over de zondeval van de eerste mensen (eerste druk 1667, tweede herziene uitgave 1674). W.A.P.
