Zbigniew Stypulkowski's personal account of the arrest, imprisonment and trial of 16 Polish Underground State leaders by the Soviet authorities under Stalin. They were sentenced in the sham trial known as the Trial of the Sixteen with Stypulkowski fleeing Poland in 1945. This title was later expanded and published under the title, Invitation to Moscow. A scarce and intimate picture into Poland's underground struggle against both Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. 8vo. Blue cloth with gilt spine, [8], 9-496 p., dust jacket. In Polish. Book is near fine with some light spotting to endpapers, but clean throughout. In a near fine, unclipped dust jacket, which is slightly rubbed with a couple of nicks along the top.
