Meist ist der Autor auf dem Titelblatt nicht namentlich genannt ("by the Autor of ."), in "Phantom Ship" und "Percival" als "Capt. Marryat", in letzterem ist das Frontispiz keine Illustration zum Roman, sondern ein Porträt des Autors, ferner sind hier die ersten Seiten ein Vorwort mit Informationen über den (1848) verstorbenen Autor. Die Illustrationen tragen häufig ein früheres Datum als das Jahr des Druckes. - Die Kanten zuweilen stärker berieben, alle Frontispices gebräunt; Kanten mäßig bestoßen. Bei einigen Bändchen ist der Papierüberzug des Innengelenks geplatzt; aber nur bei "Peter Simple" liegt eine ernsthafte Beschädigung vor: Hier ist der Buchblock lose. Keine Namenszüge oder Stempel. Alle Bände sind in sehr keiner Schrift gedruckt. Einzelbände auf Anfrage. / Decorative series with title on spine: "Marryat's Works" + short title, no numbers. No series' title inside. Probably not a complete series. Only in two volumes author named, else "by the author of .". Each volume with frontispiece, usually an illustration to the novel, only in "Percical" portrait of the author instead, here also a foreword with informations about the author. Illustrations mostly dated earlier than year of print. - Edges mostly rubbed, corners moderately bumped, all frontispieces browned. Some volumes with endpapers cracked over hinges, but only "Peter Simple" really damaged: here the book block is lose. No names or stamps within the books. All volumes are printed in very small letters. Please ask for single volumes. (MS7x).

Each photograph is mounted on the inside of a loose leaflet, with caption in Hebrew, English and Italian, as well as explanations in English and Italian. 435x310mm. 25 Loose Leaflets, 4 pages each. Re…d Cloth hardcover, which is in fact a folder that contains the loose leaflets. Gilt emblem on folder front cover. Cover slightly scratched and stained (mostly age-stained). Folder spine edges worn. Inner front hinge partly cracked, but still firmly holding. Library stamp on title page upper corner. Title page slightly wrinkled. [SUMMARY]: All pages and photographs are in excellent condition. Overall, external condition is very good, while inside it is as new! The book is in : Hebrew English Italian.
