Trade Paperback. Condizione: Very Good. 285 Pages. Author signed on Title Page. No defects noted. Interior text pages are flawless. Who is the mysterious stranger who appears in Chama, New Mexico, where the Salazar family is vacationing? Sharon's old enemy? Or simply a harmless look-alike? Is she a dangerous manipulator, preying… on elderly Joaquin Alvarez, or is she the innocent victim of petty gossip? Who else has reason to want Mr. Alvarez dead? Much as she'd like to focus on her family holiday, Sharon finds herself drawn into an intricate game of cat-and-mouse as she zeroes in on the truth. The author is originally from Texas and now lives in New Mexico. Sartain, Julie - Cover Art (illustratore). Signed by Author(s).

Aggiungi al carrelloTrade Paperback. Condizione: Very Good. Second Printing. 40 Pages. Stapled format. Inscribed to owner on inside front cover. Spine shows a bit of wear but for the most part has the appearance of an unread book. Rusty Meador was raised on a working cow ranch in Sierra County and went to school in a one room school house at Winsto…n, New Mexico. There were six kids and six grades. He says he is too old to punch ol' wild cows anymore so he just sits around and writes cowboy poetry. The poems are interspersed with comments and stories by Rusty. Some of the poems he claims are true while others admittedly stretched a bit. Signed by Author(s).

Aggiungi al carrelloPictorial Wraps. Condizione: Fine. First Edition. Three captivating stories for upper primary school age to adult by Australian primary school teacher David Eckersall. The three stories contained in this volume are: Sara's Shadow / Blue Eyes / Patchy. About the author: "David Eckersall is the proud father of two adult sons, Josh…ua and Jacob, and lives with his wife Natalie on the outskirts of Melbourne on a small farm of approximately 16 acres. He has a love for animals and nature, and on his small farm has dogs, chickens, sheep and (some elusive) fish in the dam. Professionally, David is a Primary School trained teacher with more than 25 years' experience, working primarily as a classroom teacher specialising in Literacy and Maths. As a teacher he's always had a passion for children's literature and has had the privilege to share with his students the imaginations of Roald Dahl, Andy Griffiths, Pamela Allen, Paul Jennings, Morris Gleitzman and Mem Fox, just to name a few. His aim has always been to provide each child with a love of reading, especially those who find reading challenging or a chore. Throughout his late teens and adult life, he dabbled with writing fiction aimed at middle to upper primary school children. In 2018, he had the opportunity to take a break from teaching and dedicated much of this time to writing several stories. These stories are typically set in places throughout Victoria, Australia, and are strongly influenced by his favourite childhood places. His writing philosophy is a simple one. Tell an uncomplicated, engaging story where anything is possible." Printed in Australia. A LIKE NEW very nice clean tight solid softcover copy. 258pp. SB-21.

Mr. Wegner has been Curator of Ship Models at the David Taylor Model Basin, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock, Maryland, since 1980. He began his study of designer's hull models at the Smithsonian Institution in 1968 and is a member of the American Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, the U.S. Naval Institute, and the Organization of American Historians. The purpose of this study has been to utilize an interdisciplinary team to examine new evidence in order to determine the identity of the present Constellation: was it built in 1797 or 1855? Recognizing the controversy as one of the most emotionally-charged debates in recent American maritime history, the team would not have exacerbated this subject had they not discovered fresh and important historical, artifactual and technological evidence. Is the Constellation the oldest warship afloat in the world? Or is it the last sail-only warship designed by the Navy. Responsible stewshardship for the irreplaceable ship afloat in Baltimore demands that there be a full understanding of its history. The study concludes that the frigate Constellation was built in 1796-97 and torn apart in 1853. In 1853-1855 a new sloop-of-war (Constellation) was designed and built and is the one preserved and displayed today.

Provenance: The Fougstedt family collection, gifted to the Swedish Academy of Fine Arts, and since largely sold to fund scholarships for artists. This motif is one of Fougstedt's most well-known, and his painting on the subject is regarded as a key work in Sweden's "Neue Sachlichkeit" movement of the 1920's. In the interpretation of Bengt O. Aggiungi al carrelloTeckning i tusch. Signerad: "Arvid Fougstedt". 19,5 x 26,2 cm (dagermått). Ej granskad ur ramen.
