Arte / Stampa / Poster Copia autografata
Original signed print by American artist Sue Williams. Printed in an edition of 60 with only 15 artist's proofs, of which this is number 2. In her practice, Williams centers themes of gender and the body, often challenging the work of first generation feminist artists by exploring more controversial subjects like sexual violence and obscenity. Highway to Heaven was produced in 1993, the same year Williams was awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship and included in the Whitney Biennial for the first time. Her works are conserved in the collections of major museums including the Whitney Museum of American Art and MoMA. Aquatint and photoetching. Signed by artist in pencil on lower right. Framed to 28 x 20 3/8 in. Very good.
