In most countries, the evidence indicates the existence of structural constraints, implying that p…ositive demand shocks feed predominantly into prices while negative demand shocks mainly affect output. The high variability of aggregate demand in Caribbean countries, frequently exposed to shocks that are exacerbated by pro-cyclical policy stance, tends to create an upward bias on inflation and a downward bias on real output growth, on average, over time. The analysis highlights the benefits of eliminating structural rigidities responsible for asymmetric real and inflationary effects and points to the dangers of pro-cyclical macroeconomic policies that exacerbate the adverse effects of demand variability.

This project addressed an identified need to create, implement, and evaluate an educational intervention to measure… knowledge gains and retention between a face-to-face and web-based course for Registered Nurses (RNs). Quantitative methods were used to address the research problem for RNs that treat the geriatric population. A curriculum for an oral health CE course was developed for RNs that treat the geriatric population and presented in a web-based and face-to-face course. The same oral health education material was used for both CE formats. A literature review demonstrating effective curricular, instructional and evaluative strategies for continuing professional healthcare education as well as a review of several theories in the psychology of adult learning and its application to continuing professional healthcare education was conducted. A multiple question test was developed and the same test questions, ordered differently, were given to RNs as the pre-test, post-test and one week retention test.

While over 60 % of employers assigned a High to Very Good value to the degree awarded to their employees, 35.71% felt their research and analytical skills were poor or low. Among the 13 skills sets listed as being desirable of their employees, Oral communications, Loyalty and integrity, learning abilities, Field specific knowledge and initiative were ranked the highest by 78% of employers that correctly responded. This mechanical and magnetic moment is called a spin, and the phenomenon is called as a spin of the electron. Two and three dimensional cases are considered. HAI is the most common complication or comorbidity of hospitali…zed patients, and is becoming major worldwide causes of death and disability. Also, there are associated financial costs substantial to both patients and healthcare systems. HAIs are critical patient safety and healthcare quality issues. Prevention and reduction of such infection has become one of the top priorities for health care. We focused on healthcare-associated urinary tract infection (HAUTI), which is the most common type of HAI. We proposed an approach to build a detection model for HAI surveillance based on the variables extracted from the electronic medical records (EMRs). Moreover, we developed an integrated HAI surveillance information system (called iHAUTISIS) based on existing EMR systems of the hospital for improving the work efficiency of infection control professionals (ICPs). Therefore, the system can further facilitate the HAI surveillance and reduce ICPs' surveillance workload. 68 pp. Englisch.

Apparently from a direct heredity, as adolescents migraine headache disposition factors should also be accepted: the order of birth, the length of breast-feeding, age when the ready-made industrial food was introduced, age when the child was introduced to a whole-day basis stay, kinetosis and insufficient dominance of the hemisphere. Migraine headache trigger factors in adolescents are specific and age dependent. Typical migraine headache trigger factors in adolescents are lack of sleep, tobacco passive smoking, alcohol intakes, and 'not eating at time'. Identification of migraine headache trigger factors is extremely important especially in adolescents with clear migraine headache disposition factors. 60 pp. Englisch.
