Nb the title page gives the date of 1814, but it was actually issued in three parts between 1814 and 1817 - the portrait of Sir Thomas Smith is dated 1817. The engravings were made by the authors husband - John Ogborne. This copy lacks the printed list of plates - but it is supplied loose as a facsimile. A reprint of an old map of Essex has been pasted to the front endpapers. Old press cuttings pasted to first blank page after the endpapers. Some heavy foxing and staining. Corners rubbed and worn. Good only.
