Condizione: new. ALL UK PARCELS SENT TRACKED! ALL OVERSEAS PARCELS SENT AIRMAIL, TRACKED! (S/hand, Hardcover, 1976). (1964) 1976 2nd edition. 8vo (142 x 222mm). Pp93. B/w cartoon illustrations by John Tickner. Green boards, spine titled in gilt. Slight browning, good-plus. Paint spots / marks to dust-wrapper. Humorous essays on shooting, accompanied by the author's cartoons. This 1976 second edition includes a new chapter on training gundogs. "Since the publication of To Hounds! with John Tickner in 1962, the famous artist-author has been unnaturally silent, licking the wounds inflicted by Horses, Hounds, Horse people, and people who look like horses. Now, sallying forth again, courageous and unrepentant (but carefully eschewing all Horse-flesh), Tickner brandishes his pen in the face of the fowler, gamekeeper, poacher, gundog, feather quarry and rough shooter, with a particular thrust at the Big Shots of the Big Game World. It is sufficient to say that in Tickner's Rough Shooting the reader will find numerous helpful and practical suggestions on a wide range of ticklish points, from how to get rid of unwanted guests at shoots, to how to behave when drowning in marsh mud in pursuit of wild duck." .…
