Boards have light shelf-wear present to the extremities. No ownership marks present. Text has highlighting present to the maps. Binding tight and solid. A huge, extraordinarily illustrated, volume on the period from the initial planning for Operation Overlord to its execution on the beaches of Normandy on D Day. An excellent narrative covers all the issues surrounding the planned invasion, what actually happened and why. In addition there are some truly wonderful photos of some of the specialist equipment used in the landings, including some great sequences of some of the "Hobarts Funnies". ; 8.25 X 1.5 X 11.5 inches; 544 pages.
