Es bringt die notwendigen linguistischen Grundbegriffe, behandelt die notwendigen Programmierungstechniken und gibt Algorithmen für die Verarbeitung natürlichsprachlicher Daten. Besonderer Wert ist dabei auf praktische Verwendbarkeit gelegt. Die wichtige, aber noch offene Frage, ob man den sachlichen Inhalt von natürlichsprachlichen Aussagen maschinell erkennen kann, wird daher nicht behandelt. - Der Autor: Stephan Braun ist Privatdozent für Informatik und wissenschaftlicher Rat an der Technischen Universität München. Er arbeitet seit 1964 auf dem Gebiet der linguistischen Datenverarbeitung und leitet seit 1970 das Teilprojekt Linguistische Aspekte der Dokumentation im Sonderforschungsbereich Informatik.
