"En enero de 1929 Wittgenstein salió de Viena para, en principio, pasar unas cortas vacaciones en Cambridge, invitado por su amigo el economista John Maynard Keynes. Hacía tres años que había reaunudado parcialmente su actividad filosófica; había mantenido encuentros informales con miembros del Círculo de Viena y le preocupaba solucionar algunas dificultades conectadas con el Tractatus.
