Flat signed in pencil by the artist to this limited edition page. The pencil remarque to the lower corner of the frontispiece - drawn with great attention to detail. The book bound in original publisher's quarter vellum - gilt embossed to the spine over original publisher's green cloth with gilt embossed title to the spine. Green marbled endpapers. Upper edge gilt and original ribbon page divider still attached. There is a neat ink gift (Christmas) inscription to the preliminary blank page. Several additional creases to the very thin frontispiece - tissue guard. The frontispiece is perfect. This copy still has the original glassine protective jacket which is now significantly creased in places with some tears and some chips - the largest being about 5cm x 2.5cm. A lovely, fresh, clean, tight near fine limited edition copy - very scarce as such - in a good only or fair original protective jacket.
