This volume comprises a more updated copy of the international system of signals and codes for use by vessels to communicate important messages concerning the safety of navigation and related matters.Structured in two parts: Part I with instructions on how to signal, including how to make alphabetical spelling signals and numeral signals, and Part II on distant signals, including the fixed semaphore for coast use.Illustrated with twelve full page coloured plates of flags, as well as numerous other illustrations in text.
