Riassunto:

For Tony Heather, Cieloventura is a new beginning. With his career and marriage both having come to an unexpected end, a new start in the Spanish holiday resort couldn’t have come along at a better time. After all, who better to deal with the drunks and badly behaved British holiday-makers that blight the town than a former member of Her Majesty’s Constabulary? Tony soon finds, however, that his experience is put to a far greater use... For Leanne Piggott, Cieloventura is a place of adventure. If only she could shake off her parents and irritating younger brother, that is. Traipsing around foreign markets and cathedrals is hardly a teenage girl’s idea of a good time, not when the beach and the nightclubs along the Avenida Del Puente held such a magnetic appeal. Still, her parents were deep sleepers, and what they didn’t know wouldn’t hurt them...would it? For Inspector Jefe Román López Chavarría of the Policia Nacional, Cieloventura is an ideal place to commit murder. And the worst place to try and solve one... 'In The Dark Shadow of The Sun' is a compelling new crime novel from Daniel Ward. Reviews for Daniel Ward's 'Sherlock Holmes - The Way of All Flesh': "This was smooth and well-executed. Well done, Daniel Ward!!" "All in all, a worthy pastiche and an enjoyable read." "As this was my first Daniel Ward, I'm now quite keen to read whatever else of his I can find." "An impressive debut, although I'm disappointed not to see any further offerings from Mr. Ward yet." "Could not put this down, as it was a gripping story."
