Original staple-bound printed wraps 12x19cm. ii, 30pp including 3 full-page diagrams. About very good, lightly tanned with some marks to the wraps. This opens by recognising the "supremely important part played by partisans behind enemy's lines, and the extremes of human courage and cruelty that distinguished many of their desperate actions", citing experiences in Russia and China. It was prepared "to acquaint officers with some aspects of this special kind of warfare, in case operations of this type are undertaken against British or Allied forces" (Introduction). Chapters cover their status under Hague Regulations, partisan operations (organisation, tactics), German organisation against partisans, German offensive measures, German protective measures, German treatment of partisan prisoners, and German training.
