Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book examines the historical, strategic, economic, and cultural significance of the Adriatic region, with particular focus on the Italian territorial claims made in 1915. The author argues that Italy's claims to the eastern Adriatic coast, including Dalmatia and Istria, were justified based on geography, history, strategy, and demographics. The author contends these lands are naturally Italian and have been for centuries; the Slavic presence in the region is relatively recent and largely the result of political manipulation by the former Austro-Hungarian empire. The author also argues that Italian control of the eastern Adriatic is essential to Italy's security, as it would provide a buffer zone between Italy and the Balkans, and would allow Italy to control the entrance to the Adriatic Sea. Finally, the author argues that Italian control of the eastern Adriatic would be beneficial to the region economically, as it would allow Italy to develop the region's resources and create a more prosperous and stable region. The book provides a detailed and nuanced analysis of the complex historical and political issues surrounding the Adriatic region, and makes a strong case for Italy's claims to the eastern Adriatic coast. Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book examines the strategic and economic importance of the Adriatic region to Italy, in the context of the First World War. The author argues that Italy's territorial claims on the eastern Adriatic coast, including Trieste, Istria, and Dalmatia, are justified on strategic, economic, and historical grounds. The author provides a detailed analysis of the geographic, ethnic, and economic conditions of the region, and argues that Italy's possession of these territories would be essential for its security and economic development. The book also examines the arguments of those who oppose Italy's claims, and concludes that these arguments are based on a misunderstanding of the region's history and economic potential. The book provides a valuable contribution to the understanding of the complex issues surrounding the Adriatic question, and is essential reading for anyone interested in the history of the region. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
