A Good, bound in original marbled-paper covered boards, rebacked in gold-tooled leather, hinges and binding unnaturally firm, marbled endpapers and pastedowns, marbled text block edges, title and volume labels on spines, rubbing along board edges, small abrasions to board corners, age toning to pages, half title page of Volume 1 loose but laid in, tear top and bottom frontis-illustration Volume 1 near hinge, leather spines are a bit dry and brittle, repaired hinges, some handling/scuffing to boards, without Dust wrapper. A good, overall clean and unmarked set. Victorian women travelers, the Catlow sisters painted as they traveled through Switzerland and Italy. 8vo[octavo or approx. 6 x 9], xii, 374, [2] p.
