Titolo e ricchissimi fregi in oro al dorso. Ai piatti bella cornice in oro e maculatura che va a formare, sui due piatti, quella che appare come l'immagine di un fuoco crescente. Eleganti fregi in oro ai tagli dei piatti. Ricca cornice in oro ai margine esterni dei piatti. Piatti interni foderati di bella carta marmorizzata. Tagli riccamente ed elegantemente marmorizzati. Anitca nota di possesso privata alla prima carta bianca che identifica l'esemplare come appartenuta ad un noto critico d'arte. Una nota riporta anche da quale libraio il libro venne acquistato intorno agli anni 40' del XX° secolo. Un leggero difetto alla cerniera del piatto anteriore che si presenta leggermente lenta e per il resto esemplare in ottime condizioni di conservazione. L'opera raccoglie, illustrata da numeorssisime tavole disegnate da Gustav Sus e Paul Thumann, numerose canzoni appartennti alla tradizione culturale in lingua tedesca con canzoni sull'amore, ballate, canzoni di guerra, canzoni dei cacciatori, canzoni socievoli ed edificanti, canzoni dedicate all'escursionismo e alla natura.
