Difesa in cui Rivani confuta l'accusa mossa a Cangini, che aveva ruolo di Commissario Granducale. Costui fu inquisito ed arrestato dal gonfaloniere Pi…er Soderini per "aver abusato della pubblica autorità per aderire al piacere di due dame": le dame in questione erano le nipoti legittime di Ignazio Scarlatti, soggetto a circonvenzione dal famiglio Pietro Ducci per indurlo a far testamento in suo favore. A Caggini in qualità di Commissario del Quartiere di S. Spirito a cui Scarlatti apparteneva, si erano rivolte Maria Scarlatti Baldigiani e Virginia Scarlatti da Cepperello. Solo 2 esemplari in ICCU (ultimo accesso: 21/5/26).
