Very Good, with creasing along the right edge and at the top right corner as well as four small tears at the right edge, presumably from creasing.

Original press kit for the 1962 French-Italian film. Includes seven- and four-page pamphlets detailing film production, sequences, and synopses, with a press note and two accompanying film credit sheets from R. Chabert to Monsiuer Gay-Lussac, indicating the supplied press kit, and a note from Christiane Fournier, a film critic,…discussing her plans to include the film in an essay for the magazine, Les Dessous Élegants, dated Ocotber 17, 1961, in manuscript ink. Any ephemera relating to this film is scarce. Little known French anthology film composed of sequences, not unlike the De Sica-Fellini-Monicelli-Visconti collaboration, "Boccaccio '70" (1962), released the same year. Of note is the last sequence, involving Johnny Hallyday who sings the Aznavour song "Hold Back the Night" to Catherine Deneuve. Pamphlets 8.25 x 13 inches, side-stapled, printed on rectos. Press note 5.25 x 8 inches, film credit sheets 8 x 10 inches. Slight uniform toning, else Near Fine.

Eight vintage small format borderless candid photographs of a young Brigitte Bardot practicing arabesque ballet moves, relaxing, and with husband Roger Vadim, in what appears to be their apartment. Photographs attributed to Marc Allegret, circa 1951. Printed on Kodak Velox paper, with a small detached ribbon copy snipe of "Brigi…tte BARDOT / VADIM." In 1950 at an audition, Bardot, then 15, met Vadim and fell in love. Her parents would only approve of the relationship on the condition that she and Vadim marry when she turned eighteen, which they did on December 21, 1952, three months after her eighteenth birthday. That same year Bardot made her screen debut in the comedy "Crazy for Love," directed by Jean Boyer. Bardot and Vadim divorced five years later in 1957. 2 x 2.25 inches. All but one with either bruising or dried adhesive on verso, else Near Fine.

Tirage limité à 1 599 exemplaires, celui-ci UN des 1 571 numérotés sur fort vélin d'ARCHES, après 28 Japon, seul tirage. MANQUE la planche "Les bords de la Bobo (II)" située en regard de la page 118 et qui a probablement été oubliée par l'imprimeur dès le brochage de cet exemplaire. Ce CÉLÈBRE VOYAGE effectué entre juillet 1925 et février 1926, à travers les possessions françaises de l'Afrique équatoriale, fut l'occasion pour Gide de renouer avec les récits littéraires des grands voyageurs classiques, tout en enquêtant sur les conditions de vie des populations colonisées. La publication du livre provoqua un SCANDALE. Cette relation de voyage, d'une sincérité et d'une pureté d'expression qui range cet ouvrage parmi les plus belles pages écrites par André Gide, projeta une lumière crue sur la férocité de l'administration coloniale française ainsi que sur l'exploitation éhontée des populations noires par les grandes compagnies commerciales.
