Cummings; and Part IX: Queen Victoria, by H. Saxe Wyndham. The Society of Archivists and Autograph Collectors was founded in 1893 but petered out for lack of support in 1900. As Munby noted in "The Cult of the Autograph Letter in England", Thomas James Wise was an active member of the Committee "which also included Walter B. Slater and Otto P. Rubeck, names familiar to students of the Wise saga." Bookplate of Thomas Parkin (1845-1932,of Fairseat, High Wickham, Hastings, Sussex) on front pastedown endpaper, leather worn and scraped, covers soiled and marked with faint circular blindstamp on front board, name and address of Parkin and small library stamp on verso of front free endpaper, fore-edges duststained and chipping to a blank prelim, contents otherwise Good.
