A copiously illustrated biography of Pisanello, one of the most eminent painters of the early Italian Renaissance and Quattrocento. This work, which includes an account of the search for Sala del Pisanello in the Ducal Palace, was written by Giovanni Paccagnini, an Italian expert on Gothic and Early Renaissance art. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original unclipped dust wrapper and the original cardboard slipcase. Externally, lovely. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Dust wrapper is in excellent condition. A little fading to the slipcase. Two closed tears to one side of the opening of the slipcase. Fine. book.
