Mit den Serien LS (Landschaft) und S (Stadt) verfolgt die Fotografin Fragestellungen nach Urbanität und Landschaft. In ihrer Auseinandersetzung spielen die historischen Begriffe von Utopie und Ideal eine besondere Rolle, denn sie reflektiert Denkfiguren der Landschaftsmalerei des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts. Gütschow greift mit ihren Serien zugleich auf ein Bildrepertoire zurück, das sich lange vor der Einführung der Fotografie entwickelte. Damals entstanden Bilder im Atelier, das neue Genre der Naturmalerei war reine Künstlichkeit. Die Utopie lag in der Konstruktion und Idealisierung der Natur. Gütschow schafft mittels digitaler Bildbearbeitungstechniken Bildkonstrukte aus bis zu 150 Einzelaufnahmen, wobei die Künstlichkeit, das Artifizielle der historischen Motive, von der Künstlerin in heutige Bildmedien übertragen wird.
