Linen portfolio folder has Tahitian stencil design with mounted woodcut title. Portfolio folder has scuffing, light soiling and rubbing to edges. Interior folder has foxing, but prints and text are clean. "Le Sourire was a monthly periodical published by the French artist Paul Gauguin. The editions contained satirical copy with one of his woodcuts used for the header.
