Issu d'une famille de la classe ouvrière, il est reçu au concours de l'École des beaux-arts en 1880 et expose deux toiles la même année au Salon. Il illustre de très nombreux livres et albums pour enfants et se fait connaître surtout pour ses affiches publicitaires, notamment la petite fille du chocolat Menier et le petit écolier des biscuits LU (Lefèvre-Utile). ***** Jacques Onfroy de Bréville, dit Job, né à Bar-le-Duc le 25 novembre 1858 et mort le 15 septembre 1931 à Laigle, est un dessinateur et illustrateur français.
