[4], 53 pages. Brown cloth slipcase, H 30cm x L 22.5cm, rubbed with some soiling and light stains; side title panel's gilt lettering still reasonably bright but certainly not vibrant. Introduction by Joseph Blotner. Afterword by Louis Daniel Brodsky. The first reproduced typescript of fourteen pages, titled MISSISSIPPI POEMS, contains twelve poems, nine of which appear in altered form in other publications but with the other three published in this limited edition book for the first time. In the second typescript, a seven page essay titled VERSE, OLD AND NASCENT: A PILGRIMAGE, Faulkner explains his "view of poetry, his personal sources of inspiration and his purpose" (quoted from the publisher's laid-in promotional card). An uncommon Faulkner publication; a very good+ copy in a very good slipcase. ISBN 0916242033.…
