The preface to volume I also names him as one of the editors although to what extent is not known. The first two volumes deal with wide-ranging aspects of the county's history whilst volume three deals with the individual parishes within the county. Both volumes are bound in maroon cloth although volume I is of a lighter shade than volume II. Volume I has a faded spine but is otherwise excellent throughout. Volume II is also excellent but for slightly rubbed corners and a neat inscription.
