Not only was Olga Manders a cook but a chef, trained under famous chefs. These are some of Mrs. Manders' "lovely dishes" along with her great stories, and notes by Rumer Godden. A little treasure sure to be enjoyed by all who love to read good cookbooks.

Mrs. Manders was a renowned retired master chef who lived in the same town as Rumer Godden. She once came to Godden's house to help out, and became a friend and presided over her household kitchen. A brief autobiographical chapter by Mrs. Mandes, followed by over 150 recipes. xiv - 178 pp.
