This is a limited reprint edition of one of the 46 Australian Historical Monographs edited and privately published by Dr. George Mackaness. The monographs were produced in the period 1953 to 1962 in limited editions. They covered an enormous range of historical subjects and largely involved material which had not previously been published.

Pp. 40, text illustrations (several full page); printed stiff brown paper wrappers, stapled, the upper wrapper slightly marked, edges a trifle rubbed, fore-corners lightly creased;privately printed,Sydney, 1951. Edition limited to 135 copies, numbered and signed by the editor. Australian Historical Monographs Volume XXIII. *The song lyric was apparently copied down by Governor William Bligh while he was imprisoned during the Rum Rebellion. The song ends by proclaiming that 'Magnanimous Bligh will triumph with honor and prostrate his foes.'. Signed.
