Some edge wear and chipping to top and bottom of jacket and spine, corners rubbed with small loss, some overall time staining to unlaminated flesh coloured jacket. Not price clipped (10s 6d), no other inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg++ copy for its age. 225pp. Grace Eleanor Hadow OBE (1875-1940), was an author, principal of St Anne's College, Oxford University and Vice Chairman of the Women's Institute. In 1921, Hadow wrote the first edition of the National Federation of Women's Institutes Handbook, she travelled all over the world promoting the WI and at her death in 1940 the hymn 'Jerusalem' was sung at her funeral.
