Hardcover. Condizione: see description for condition. 1st Edition. Recent full leather binding with gilt on red spine label, virtually pristine. xiv + 481 + 3 plates (2 coloured), a few small un-numbered text figs; major problem is t.p. which is rather a mess: chipped bottom edge and top corner , large areas on ingrained dustiness which resist erasure, 2 library stamps, an early sig. and a large black 'A' which seems to be in crayon, half-title has slight dustiness, small grey spot and hand-written lib. number (?) top verso, p. iv has a hand-written date to lower gutter, pp.4-5 opening has some faint tanning patches remainder however seems to be clean, tight and unmarked. Includes some chapters by other German authors, though majority by von Graefe. Covers numerous ttopics. An important and scarce work by the pioneer Ophthalmologist with numerous G & M listings'. Wikipedia oddly gives 1855 as date for founding of this Archiv. 14 cm x 22 cm.
