"This deluxe-edition.is accompanied by a companion volume of twenty of G.E.M. Skues' nymph patterns tied by the late Jim Nice". The text volume is composed of a 28 pp essay on Skues and the nymph by Tony Hayter, followed by a 27 pp essay on the great nymph debate between Skues and Frederic Halford (which took place at the Fly Fishers' Club, February 1939), plus 24 pp of Skues' dressings for nymphs and related flies. The companion volume of flies, bound to match the text volume, contains a 1 p appreciation of Jim Nice by Terry Griffiths, plus 6 deep mats, bound accordion style, each containing 5 flies. A beautiful set, printed on heavy stock. Mint in a very fine cloth covered slipcase.
