Johan Erik Berggren (1843-1918) var sedan 1899 förste teol. professor och domprost i Uppsala samt kyrkoherde i Vaksala. Han var huvudsakligen inriktad mot dogmatik och moralteologi. Edgar Reuterskiöld (1872-1932) blev själv professor i Uppsala i teologiska prenotioner och teologisk encyklopedi, samt 1928 biskop i Växjö.
