The soldiers mainly from India and Pakistan, numbered roughly 200,000 in 1939, by the end of the war the Army was roughly 2.5 million soldiers. They earned 18 Victoria Crosses and a reputation as a fighting service. Very good copy of the first American edition in a good dust jacket. The dust jacket has edge wear and a partially faded spine. 392 pages.
