The lettering is an arrangement by Gill of letters he cut for the Golden Cockerel Press in 1928.The excellent text covers Gibbings and Gill at the Golden Cockerel Press, The Golden Cockerel Type, Planning the Edition, and Producing the Edition, along with some Opinions on the Edition.
