No Binding. Condizione: Fair. 1st Edition. This is the 1953 sheet music for the Vic Damone hit April in Portugal, which peaked at #16 on the Billboard charts. Also called The Whisp'ring Serenade, this song as a major hit in the 40s and 50s. It was written in 1947 by Raul Ferrao and Jose Galhardo as 'Coimbra', about that city. This music has lots of wear and needs a little TLC if you want to frame it, but it's perfectly usable. NOTE: I have a lot of sheet music listed here. Com os seguintes registos: ML 19, CP 720 e CP 721. 1ª Edição destas gravações de duas marchas populares, disco muito raro e muito importante por documentar interpretações de músicas das primeiras marchas populares de Lisboa, por uma das maiores e mais marcantes atrizes e cantoras portuguesas, que nesta época estava no auge da carreira. Beatriz da Conceição (Charneca do Milharado, Mafra 1907 - Lisboa 1996) atriz e cantora, foi um ícone da cultura popular portuguesa e celebrizou-se como intérprete de grande número de peças de teatro de revista e dos grandes filmes portugueses, da década de trinta do século XX. Estreou-se em 1923, no Éden Teatro, na revista Chá e Torradas e depois participou em muitas revistas e operetas. Em 1927 estreou-se no cinema, nos filmes O Diabo em Lisboa e Fátima Milagrosa de Rino Lupi. Os filmes A Canção de Lisboa, 1933 de Cotinelli Telmo e A Aldeia da Roupa Branca, 1939, de Chianca Garcia, elevaram-na a um nível de estrelato no âmbito de Portugal e Brasil. No Brasil representou com grande êxito muitas peças de teatro, numa prolongada estadia entre 1939 e 1949. Retirou-se dos palcos em 1960 e escreveu cinco livros de memórias desde 1975 a 1990.
