Originally published in 1939 with a second edition in 1946. The boards have narrow strips of fading at the top and bottom of the spine and there is a small white mark near the bottom edge of the rear panel. Browning to the page edges with a little spotting to the top edges and fore edges. Previous owner's name and date to the top corner of the front pastedown under the jacket flap. The pages are a little browned but generally otherwise unmarked. The jacket chipping with a little loss at the top and bottom of the spine which is darkened and has a number of small stains over it. Browning and light surface marking and corner chipping to the front and rear panels.
