Edward Forrest, and 'Herbert Edward Forrest (1858-1942)', by pioneering prehistoric archaeologist and independent scholar Lilly Chitty.Both booklets were published by T. Buncle & Co. Ltd, in Arbroath, in 1945 and 1943 respectively, and contain monochrome frontispieces.The additional letter is dated 1952, and is typed, thanking the correspondent for their information on hatchments, which are the subject of the news paper extract. The letter is signed by P. G. Summers, who was the co-founder of the Bath Heraldic Society. Bound in original green cloth. Externally, very smart. Very mild rubbing to extremities.
