The 10th novel in the Mr. & Mrs. North mystery series, featuring Jerry, a book publisher and his wife, Pam, amateur sleuths operating in New York City NY USA. This release is part of the uniform "Front Page Mysteries" reprint series by this publisher. This is the 2nd binding which ran from 1942-1947 and was a subscription service, with multiple titles shipped at once. Although an internet source says this is part of the 8th series, the title page states that this is part of the 9th series, so I'm not sure if this one was reprinted for the 9th series or it was never part of the 8th series. Also one book in the 8th series has a 1947 copyright so this was likely printed in 1947.

Originally published by Lippincott in the USA in 1969 under the name Richard Lockridge. Boards have some corner bumping and a crease down the centre of the spine. Page edges have some light scattered spotting. The pages have a few faint spots at the front and back of the book but are otherwise unmarked. The price-clipped jacket has a little fading to the spine and rubbing to the corners and along the edges of the spine with a little creasing to the top of the front panel. Jacket design by Kingaby/Keeman. First printing.
