Peter Friedlaender), addressed to Jacqueline Saltzman (small loss, some dampmarking). "In the best Fleming tradition" [Manchester Evening News]. A British secret service thriller featuring Ogle-Oxley, likened to James Bond. Presented to the James Bond film producer Harry Saltzman and his French-naturalised wife. Saltzman co-founded Danjaq, S.A. with Albert R. Broccoli in 1962, the parent company of Eon Productions being a holding company for James Bond screen rights. The moniker Danjaq is a combination of Broccoli and Saltzman's wives' first names, Dana and Jacqueline. This copy was later part of the comprehensive James Bond collection assembled by Jon Gilbert (bookplate within). His comprehensive guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography. Signed.
