Das letzte Kapitel mit einer ausführlichen Bücherkunde der Turnkunst, wohl die früheste Spezialbibliographie zu diesem Thema. - Um einen Beitrag zur nationalen Erneuerung zu leisten, hatte sich "Turnvater Jahn" (1778-1852) unter der napoleonischen Fremdherrschaft vor allem dem Aufbau der Turnbewegung gewidmet.
