There is a previous tape… repair to this split that has now also failed. The pages are clean and free of markings, but yellowed along edges with some dust soiling to the top edges. Volume two: Jacket has some wear along the edges and a tape repair on the spine. Book itself has a solid binding. Clean interiors pages free of markings with some minor dust soiling to the top edge. Italian work on Futurism art movement, including many artist letters previously unpublished. Volume 1 is almost entirely text, including an extensive bibliography. Volume two is mostly images. 7.5" X 10.5" 19CM X 27CM Set di due volumi. Volume uno: copia di rilegatura scadente. Solo copia di lettura. Volume due: molto buono. Volume uno: la sovraccoperta à presente, ma presenta angoli e bordi nastrati con diversi piccoli strappi. La rilegatura si à staccata sul davanti. C'à una precedente riparazione con nastro adesivo su questa spaccatura che ora à fallita. Le pagine sono pulite e prive di segni, ma ingiallite lungo i bordi con qualche macchia di polvere sui bordi superiori. Volume due: la sovraccoperta presenta qualche segno di usura lungo i bordi e una riparazione con nastro adesivo sul dorso. Il libro stesso ha una rilegatura solida. Pagine interne pulite, prive di segni con qualche piccola macchia di polvere sul bordo superiore. Lo storico dell'arte d'oggi e venuto infatti a trovarsi in una condizione di lavoro menu agevole di quella dello storico dell'arte antica, quanto all'indagine filologica e al reperimento delle fonti: perchà volendo avere una visione non confusa e non malcerta del Cubismo, mettiamo, o della Pittura Metafisica, ad evitare di servirsi di notizie di seconda mano col rischio di ripetere fatalmente gli stressi errori, egli dovrà affrontare personalmente la ricerca o e lo spoglio di un immenso materiale che va dalle collezioni di vecchi giornali agli opuscoli rari, dai cataloghi di mostre, che nessuno s'e dato la pena di conservare, alle lettere, agli appunti, ai disegni dispersi per tante mani e non mai pubblicati. Soltanto al termine di una cosa lunga e faticosa ricerca egli potrÃ, ordinando la congerie delle notizie, ricavarne il lineamento sicuro ed esauriente del movimento d'arte che abbia preso a oggetto dei propri studi ed allora, accanto a prospettive ignote a appena intuite che gli si apriranno dinanzi, altre ne vedrà attenuarsi o scomparire alla luce della indagine scientifica. Utile strumento di lavora sono questi "archivi Del Futurismo", il cui numero straordinariamente elevato di documenti inediti consentirà di colmare lacune, di conferire giusto valore a molti episodi e di restituire ai personaggi, agli avvenimenti e alle opere lo loro storica dimensione. Il volume 1 à quasi interamente di testo, inclusa un'ampia bibliografia. Il volume 2 à composto principalmente da immagini.
