[16] pp. of text including and essay by Norman Lindsay ("Creative Vision in Landscape) and another by Julian Ashton (Elioth Gruner - Reminiscences). The tipped-inn frontispiece is a portrait of Gruner by N. Lindsay. The bulk of the book i…s taken up with tipped-in reproductions of Gruner's works; 25 being in color and 16 in monochrome. Rectos only. Publisher's plain sage-colored boards, gilt spine lettering, from cover with title repeated within a black box. A presentation the helps more than it hurts (good penmanship having become a lost art) and a Sydney bookseller's ticket at the bottom margin of the front hinge. A very attractive copy of what is likely the best exposition of one of Australia's best artists.
