This is an astonishing autobiography by a writer who realized his exceptional psychic gifts early in life and whose contacts with the Unseen became stronger with advancing years. "[H]e was impelled to extend his psychical investigations to Polynesia, where he went through the most strange experiences in his search for a deeper understanding of the nature and operation of magical forces, and of the way in which they could be used for the benefit of humanity. He finally became convinced that there are higher aspects of Spiritualism which still remained largely uninvestigated, and which offer untold possibilities for the healing of our corrupted civilization." As with every book from my father's collection, tipped in at the front is the small, attractive, acid-free bookplate pictured on my homepage.
