I got to thinking that it reminded me of a book I had on the topic. Sure enough, here it is (he's eleven and wants the bow and not the book!): "Modern Methods in Archery- A Text for Students and Teachers in Fundamentals of Target Archery" by Natalie Reichart & Gilman Keasey. This small hard cover book was published by A.S. Barnes & Company of New York, dated 1936, and a First Edition with the same date on title and copyright pages. The book is bound in green cloth with nice red decorations and titles and protected by a printed paper dust wrapper. I was interested to find inside the book a prepaid postcard with "A Checklist of Archery Books" from the publisher (which will convey). The book is very nicely illustrated throughout with instructive photos and diagrams about how to use a bow and arrow. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There has been some light edge wear to the dust wrapper and some discoloration on the upper cover and a small nick in the paper. It is price-clipped which seems a little pointless because printed across the cover of the wrapper it says "The Barnes Dollar Sports Library." The hard covers are clean and bright and unbumped. Inside, the book is unmarked and the pages are clean and bright, free of any blemish or wear. Both hinges are intact and the binding is tight, sound and square.
