The author, a renowned engineer of his time, meticulously details the river's topography, hydrography, and hydrometry, offering a scientific framework for understanding its unique characteristics. Through detailed observations and measurements, he examines the river's slope, cross-section, and the immense volume of water and sediment it carries.
