This near fine unmarked copy is quarter bound in cream with green titling to the spine to green cloth covered bevel edged boards with bright gilt and black titling to the upper board, decorative endpapers Finely printed on T. H. Saunders art paper watermarked '1921' uncut with a mounted frontispiece of Greenaway from a photograph and with 20 mounted colour plates. each with captioned tissue guards, tight, white, bright and square. The very rare unclipped dust wrapper is suuned to the spine and has some edge wear and one or two closed tears and a small area of loss to the head of the spine. Catherine "Kate" Greenaway (17 March 1846 - 6 November 1901) was an English children's book illustrator and writer. Her drawings gave rise to a fashion in young children's clothing in the 1880s and 1890s.
