He initially studied law before teaching at a school in Zuoz. He then joined the publishing house belonging to Kurt Wolff in Leipzig before moving to Montagnola and founding Officina Bodoni. This work was edited and translated by Hans Schmoller. With instructions on how books are made, before a catalogue of books created by the Officina Bodoni, with supporting images. A bright and clean copy of this work. In the original full cloth binding. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear. Slipcase is smart, with a small tape repair to one side and closed tear at the edge. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Slipcase is VERY GOOD INDEED. Fine.
