Daniel Lagerl÷fÆs body of work presented here is extremely varied, as it has been organized into four sections: Still Lifes, Landscapes, Portraits, and the Word. For example, though the title ôStill Lifeö conjures an image of apples and pears, Lagerl÷fÆs own version consists of a pictorial series on buildings. In these pictures, he initially draws the buildings in parallel perspective, giving them an expanded and rigid, dispassionate and seemingly real character. Then, the drawings were digitized and given different shades of grey, thus receiving a diffuse, artificial illumination. In the end, they become mere associations to architecture, while having no relation to buildings in reality.
